The Dragon is for boys and girls between
the ages of 5 and 7 years. Players receive a standard licence and an additional
Dragon Club Membership Card.
The Dragon Syllabus is split into five separate levels and each sections gives
details of practical and theory requirements for that level.
Each player is examined by their own coach and awarded a purple stripe and
certificate for passing each section.
When the player has passed all 5 stages they are entitled to wear a Purple Belt.
When a player reaches the age of 8 year they join the normal grading system.
If they have achieved Purple Belt status they keep their belt and attach red
stripes on it until they have reached Yellow Belt status.
